You must have 1 RS232 port free, USB To RS232 Converters will not always work with there timming due to buffers.Along to a logging program, Ham Radio Deluxe 5 offered DM780 a multimode decoding encoding software that allowed CW RTTY PSK and more operating modes.Ive learned that this happened to several other hams wanting to share the freeware version, and probably with the same, non courteous approach used with me.As far as I known, they are working hard contacting all other hams and asking to remove old Freeware files from their web sites, declaring to be the sole owners of every single version of Ham Radio Deluxe ever created, practically changing the History.
This is just a hobby for me, and my goal is just to help other hams, in pure ham-spirit. The maximum charge allowed for the distribution medium is 10 euro or 10. However, this is just legalese lingo subject I do not really master, but some doubts I have are certainly legitimate. Thanks for offering the old but still perfect working v5 here. I dont have a problem with buying software, but this one is over the limit for me (I prefer to buy another radio for my money, and use the free tools available). Ham Radio Deluxe Download From HRDsIve been off the air for almost 3 years and now find HRD is pay software and version 5.xx.xx is no longer available for download from HRDs website. May work however using emulation environments, but its a MS Window binary code. Our income is very small (because I cannot work), and being asked to pay over US100.00 for a program is very disappointing, no matter how good it is, and yes, it is really good but so are a few others and they are free. In addition to that I believe that many companies are taking advantage of amateur radio operators because its such a proprietary market. Theres no reason why rigs need to cost 10,000 They still have the same noise that all rigs have and still put out 200 watts like other 1k rigs and have that same DSP and IF filters and nonsense that is just gibber jabber. The few people that do the emergency broadcasts are volunteers, they dont make anything either. Nikon sells their DSLRs for thousands and they still have compressed video, and they want you to spend thousands on the body then require you to boast a few more thousand for the lens because its a full frame camera and it needs a full frame lens guess what 35mm film is a full frame camera dammit and they were cheap and every time you snap a photo you are essentially using a brand new full frame sensor, so wheres the logic in that. ![]()
